1. Introduction
MVP Connects is an independent software platform that helps people discover, evaluate, organize, and navigate third-party assistance, benefits, funding, education, housing, business, and other programs. It is not a government agency or a program administrator.
This policy applies to information handled through the MVP Connects website and related product features.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide and limited information generated while the service operates. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Account information, such as your email address.
- Profile information and categories of need you voluntarily select.
- Household, business, employment, education and training, housing, veteran or military, and disability or accessibility information you voluntarily provide.
- Saved opportunities, tracker activity, and application-preparation activity.
- Technical, device, browser, session, IP, log, and security information processed when the service is delivered or protected.
- Limited product analytics and event data, such as account access, profile completion, match viewing, saving an opportunity, adding a tracker item, or starting a Proceed workflow.
Some profile answers may be sensitive. Provide only information you are comfortable using for program screening. MVP Connects is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and should not intentionally request or store third-party passwords, banking login credentials, payment-card credentials, Social Security numbers, or unnecessary sensitive documents unless a future feature clearly explains the need and securely supports that collection.
3. How we use information
Our public homepage and getting-started guide include Google AdSense code for site verification and advertising integration. Loading this code connects your browser to Google, which may process technical information such as your IP address and browser information. Where advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies, subject to applicable consent choices. We do not include profile answers in this advertising integration. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google advertising preferences.
We may use information to:
- Create and maintain accounts and profiles.
- Compare user-provided facts with published program requirements, explain apparent matches, and identify missing information.
- Save programs and power tracker and Proceed features.
- Improve matching quality, usability, reliability, and support.
- Prevent abuse, secure the platform, maintain operational logs, and comply with legal requirements.
4. How matching works
MVP Connects uses information you provide and compares it with published program requirements. The platform uses deterministic matching logic and may use software-assisted analysis to organize or explain relevant information.
Matching results are informational screening outputs. MVP Connects does not make official eligibility decisions. The relevant agency, lender, school, nonprofit, program administrator, or other authorized decision-maker determines final eligibility, approval, enrollment, funding, or benefits.
5. AI and automated processing
MVP Connects may use automated software and AI-assisted tools to organize program information, extract candidate requirements, explain information, and generate drafts or summaries. Candidate information is not published as verified program content solely because an automated system produced it.
Official publication and final matching rules are intended to rely on verified, source-grounded information and administrator review. AI does not make official benefit, funding, lending, housing, enrollment, or eligibility decisions.
6. Service providers and third-party technology
We use service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, databases, analytics, security, email delivery, and infrastructure. Current verified technology providers include Supabase and Vercel. These providers process information under their own terms and safeguards to support operation of the service.
8. Third-party programs and links
MVP Connects links to official program websites, application portals, and other third-party services. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and practices. MVP Connects does not control and is not responsible for their privacy or security practices.
9. Data retention
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service. Account and profile information may remain while an account is active. Some records may be retained longer for security, legal, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, or operational continuity purposes.
10. Your choices
You may choose not to provide optional information. Where supported, you may update profile information, change account settings, remove saved or tracker data, and export your profile.
11. Account and data deletion
The Profile page includes a Delete data control for deleting your MVP profile, tracker items, and saved drafts. That control does not necessarily delete the authentication account or records that must be retained for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes.
Authenticated users may request deletion of their MVP Connects account and associated account data through the account deletion request page. This creates a request for manual review and does not immediately delete the account. Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping purposes.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security, so users should also protect their account credentials and avoid entering information the service does not request.
13. Children
MVP Connects is not intended for children under 13 to use independently. Parents and guardians may use the platform to search for programs related to their household or children.
14. U.S. users and jurisdiction
MVP Connects is currently designed for users seeking programs in the United States. Privacy rights and obligations may vary by location. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date when appropriate.
